The arts and crafts exhibition, which every year brightens the streets and small squares of Valle di Cadore on the third weekend of July, is a re-enactment of the early 20th-century atmosphere in the Cadore valley. In the squares, barns, and cellars along the main street of Borgata Costa, the “workshops” of craftsmen, woodcutters, carpenters, women spinning wool and making butter and cheese, and washerwomen are recreated. Dressed in period costumes, they take us back to bygone times, making us appreciate and understand the many jobs that today seem forgotten. You can savor the local products made as in the old times.
